Clear Pathways

Therapy & Consulting — Different Paths, Different Purposes

Therapy involves clinical assessment and treatment planning, and helps address emotional pain and mental health concerns. Therapy often explores your personal history, patterns, and wounds, as well as your strengths, values, and goals. Therapy may involve, particularly when funded by insurance, a formal diagnosis.

Therapy

1:1 Counseling

For navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, identity discovery, addiction, depression, or the quiet sense that something is missing. I meet you where you are and we work toward what matters most to you. Can involve MBTI where appropriate.

Personal mbti consulting

1:1 Personality Exploration

For individuals who want a rigorous, depth-oriented understanding of their personality — and what it means for their relationships, career, and life. Grounded in the full Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) instrument.

org./team mbti consulting

1:1 & Team MBTI

Organizational and career consulting for teams, leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and workplaces using the MBTI to enhance self-awareness, use of strengths, communication, and collaborative effectiveness.

If we work together in one capacity, we cannot switch to the other.
This protects your privacy, ensures ethical practice, and keeps the focus clear. Please reach out with questions.

Consulting at FHCC is designed to enhance self-awareness, leadership, and life satisfaction, and does not involve therapy or clinical assessment/diagnosis. Consulting at FHCC is also not ongoing life coaching. Consulting at FHCC is grounded in the MBTI assessment, and is time-limited to typically 1-3 consultations.

Clinical consulting & Mentorship

1:1 & Group

For clinicians, training programs, organizations, and behavioral health teams. Grounded in the common factors, Existential-Humanistic, Somatic, Depth Therapy, and MBTI frameworks.

THERAPY

Counseling

Individual depth-oriented therapy, coordinating valid methods to address anxiety, trauma, other concerns, and personal growth

Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.

Carl Jung, MD

Approach to Therapy

Integrative & Depth-Oriented

Good counseling begins with a relationship grounded in genuine presence and a shared willingness to look at what's actually happening in the moment— within you, between us, and between you and the world. We work collaboratively: building a bond suited to the work, and agreeing on both the goals of therapy and the tasks that get you there.

I bring a set of carefully chosen approaches to that relationship, each with its own tradition and integrity. They're not blended into one method or used randomly — they stay distinct, used as intended, and coordinated in service of you as a whole person. This is integrative, depth-oriented work: it takes seriously not just your symptoms, but your history, your body, your dreams, and the questions that don't yet have answers. "Depth" means working beneath the surface symptoms, going down to the root — and it means making real effort to deeply see and hear you.

I work to to bracket my assumptions and ask real questions rather than rhetorical ones — you'll often hear me say, "I could be wrong, but I seem to notice…" As Rollo May put it: You are not an object to be analyzed. You are a being to be understood.

In our work together, I may integrate:

Existential-Humanistic Therapy

Rediscovering meaning and “awe” (humility and wonder for the adventure of living); exploring freedom, authenticity, and presence.

"Courage is not the absence of despair; it is, rather, the capacity to move ahead in spite of despair."

-Rollo May, PhD

Dream Work / Depth Therapy

Engaging the unconscious and symbolic dimensions of experience.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate."

-Carl Jung, MD

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) & Motivational Interviewing (MI)

Shifting unhelpful thought and behavior patterns.

Strengthening motivation and commitment to change.

Somatic Experiencing (SE)

Helping the body release and regulate stress and trauma; expanding our capacity at the nervous system and “felt” level for experiencing a wider range of human experience; increasing our ability to regulate our emotions; enhancing our ability to feel balanced and empowered in relationships.

Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

Reprocessing distressing memories, reducing their emotional charge and easing symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and stress. A structured yet gentle path toward relief that doesn't require reliving painful experiences in detail.

"Dr. Chris Bradshaw is one of those rare human beings who is as passionate and present toward his work with clients as he is toward psychological inquiry and scholarship. He is a superb writer, thinker and presenter. Dr. Bradshaw is among the best I have known in the clinical field and I am delighted to see him launch his professional career."

~ Kirk Schneider, PhD

"Chris has great compassion, presence, and intellectual ability and he brings these into his way of being in the world, as well as his work as a scholar and therapist. We need more of this in the field and in society. Especially the compassion and the presence. I've enjoyed getting to know him as a student and now as a colleague. He is a great spokesperson for Existential-Humanistic psychotherapy. His research on the client experience of therapeutic presence is an important contribution on an important subject."

~ Scott Barry Kaufman, PhD

"I know Chris as an expert counselor, writer and teacher who is sensitive, warm, thoughtful and an empathetic listener. His gifts inspire others to become aware and connect with what is most alive inside to seek discovery and fulfillment. Highly Recommend."

~ Bonnie Rose, MA, MFT

"Chris has a way about him that immediately creates a feeling of safety and trust. He is extremely knowledgeable and uses expertise in a way that makes sense to people. I am always confident that his clients are in great hands. Kind, warm and thoughtful."

~ Jody Little, MS, LPC, EMDR-C

"Dr. Bradshaw is a deeply compassionate & kind human being, & an amazing clinician. He possesses a wealth of clinical wisdom & experience, and truly loves his craft. He is evolving into an incredible leader in our field, and for that we are very fortunate!"

~ Dr. Chris Deussing, DSW, LCSW

"Chris is an excellent clinician and human being. I've had the honor of working with him directly and learned so much from him. He is kind, compassionate, and open. His skills are priceless and he brings healing to those that work with him."

~ David Cato, MSW, LCSW, SEP, DARe

"Chris is a phenomenal psychotherapist with a broad understanding of many modalities and a special passion for existential and humanistic work that sets him apart. Chris does excellent work as a therapist and I receive constant (!) rave reviews from patients about his individual and group interventions. He is a unique talent and a pleasure and honor to have on the team. Chris has exceptional compassion and kindness and strives to be mindful and present in his interactions. He also has an enviable drive and passion for learning. He inspires others with his heart and his desire for professional growth. I’ve considered it a great privilege to work closely with Chris, and he inspires me and so many others around him to strive to be compassionate, curious, present, and hungry for the next growth opportunity."

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

1:1 Consulting

1:1 Personality Exploration

1:1 MBTI consulting is a standalone, time-limited service for individuals who want a clear, rigorous understanding of their personality and what it means for their life, work, or relationships.

A person can be fully human only if they are fulfilling their deepest inner nature.

Abraham Maslow, PhD

Approach to Understanding & Developing Personality

The MBTI: A Structured, Depth-Oriented Process for Self-Understanding

Personality is not a box. It is not a label, or an excuse. Personality is a lens — a way of understanding how you naturally take in information, make decisions, relate to others, approach your inner world, and move through the outer world. The MBTI is one of the most powerful ways to understand how you thrive, what you need to develop to be truly effective, and what is really happening when you are “in the grip” of stress and “beside yourself,” or “acting outside” of your most effective self.

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is one of the most widely used personality indicators in the world, and one of the most frequently misunderstood. It is well-supported by research, and yet requires a sensitive touch and attention to nuance to really understand. In my practice, it is considerably more than a four-letter code. There is a very good chance that our work together would go way beyond that test you once took online or did with a guidance counselor in high school.

I hold MBTI certification through The Myers & Briggs Foundation with training in both Step I and Step II instruments. I have trained deeply in this approach, and have worked extensively with the MBTI in my own life.

This service is appropriate for:

Individuals

Individuals seeking deeper self-understanding — curious about their patterns, strengths, and areas of growth, and wanting a structured framework to explore them.

Professionals

Professionals exploring career fit or direction — seeking clarity on natural strengths, preferred working styles, and sources of energy or friction in professional life.

Following-Up On Group MBTI

Individuals preparing for or following up on organizational or team MBTI work — who want a more thorough, individualized interpretation than a group workshop provides.

MBTI Career/Workplace Consulting

Professional Consulting

Consulting for professionals, leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, groups, and organizations seeking to better understand work personality, clarify goals, strengthen skills, improve team dynamics, and achieve measurable growth.

Whatever the circumstances of your life, the understanding of type can make your perceptions clearer, your judgments sounder, and your life closer to your heart's desire.

Isabel Briggs Myers

Approach to Career & Team Consulting

My approach is grounded in real-world leadership experience. Prior to founding Fully Human Counseling & Consulting, I managed large, fast-growing integrated medical/mental health treatment clinics, overseeing operations serving hundreds of clients daily. I led on-site clinical, operational, and administrative teams—balancing strategic vision with day-to-day realities. As a front-lines leader, I had my hand in many aspects of running an organization, from marketing to compliance, clinical quality to human resources, community engagement to customer service.

I later served as the primary therapist for the Professionals Program at Sierra Tucson, a world-renowned residential treatment center. I worked closely with executives, licensed professionals, and high-performing individuals from a wide-range of fields across the country and world. This work gave me deep insight into the pressures, complexity, and responsibility that come with leadership and success across diverse industries: finance, licensed professionals of all kinds, healthcare and behavioral healthcare leadership, entertainment industry professionals, military leadership, and more.

Today, my consulting work blends this leadership background with my training as a counselor and as a certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). I help clients clarify goals, strengthen communication and leadership skills, identify blind-spots, improve decision-making, and navigate complex challenges with confidence and creativity.

With a PhD in Clinical Psychology, years of experience in the mental health field, certification in the MBTI, and a background in organizational leadership, I bring a practical, grounded, and psychologically informed approach to helping individuals and organizations thrive.

Services include:

Step 1 Team Development

Team sessions build on each person's individual Step I results, using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® framework to map how different types on the team tend to communicate, make decisions, and handle conflict.

Rather than sorting people into boxes, the goal is to help a team see its own patterns — where preferences complement each other, where they create friction, and what that friction is actually about. The aim is a team that understands itself well enough to work with its differences, not around them.

Step 2 Team Development

Step II development brings increased nuance, adding specific facets that make each person's preferences distinct — how one person's sense of structure differs from another's, even when they share a type. For leaders, this level of detail sharpens self-awareness around blind spots, communication style, and decision-making under pressure; for individual team members, it offers a more precise picture of their own strengths and growth edges. The work is about using that nuance to grow into a fuller, more self-aware way of leading or contributing.

Individual Step 1 & Step 2

For leaders and team members who want this work outside the group setting, individual consulting moves through both Step I and Step II Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® results in a confidential, one-on-one format. This allows for a more candid look at communication patterns, decision-making style, and the specific facets beneath a person's type — without the dynamics or visibility of a team session. It's suited to leaders navigating a particular challenge, or anyone who wants deeper self-understanding on their own terms, in their own time.

CLINICAL LEADERSHIP

Training, Mentorship, Consulting

I offer clinical training, consultation, and mentorship grounded in existential-humanistic psychology, research on therapeutic presence, common factors research, the MBTI, and depth psychology.

By developing individual strengths, guarding against weaknesses, and appreciating the strengths of other types, life will be more amusing, more interesting, and more of a daily adventure than it could possibly be if everyone were alike.

Isabel Briggs Myers

Approach to Clinical Leadership

Clinical Training, Mentorship, Consulting

I currently offer three ways to support clinicians and the organizations that train, nurture, and lead them. Across all three, the throughline is the same one that runs through the rest of the practice: personality, presence, and depth as the real instruments of clinical growth, not just technique. Whether the need is consultation, mentorship, or experiential training, the aim is to help clinicians grow more fully into themselves as the foundation for the work they do with others.

Services include:

Experiential Workshops

Workshops on the practical application of “therapeutic presence” in clinical work, cultural considerations in presence and other elements of relational therapy, and experiential exercises geared toward enhancing clinician capacity in the common factors in therapy.

I also offer group MBTI services for clinicians. See the MBTI consulting services sections of this site for more information.

Therapist Mentorship

Over the years, I have seen great need for mentorship in all walks and areas of life. Being a therapist is no different. Often, elder supervisors are not quite available for this type of nurturing guidance.

An elder clinician offering presence, time, experience, and support in all areas of therapy practice, including how your personality intersects with your clinical work (MBTI informed). Though I am a board-approved Clinical Supervisor, this is not clinical supervision.

Clinical Consultation

Working with individual clinicians, clinical supervisors, training programs, and organizations at the intersection of mental health and human development, drawing on trauma-informed care, integrative & depth approaches, common factors research, and MBTI-based frameworks for understanding clinician personality & how this personality impacts their experience of clinical work.
