Do you feel lost? Uncertain of how to move forward? Unable to get yourself to do the things you know will help you?

Tanya Witman is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Somatic-informed therapist with over 20 years of professional experience in the fields of yoga and massage therapy. She is passionate about helping people feel whole and well through all the challenges that life brings.

Tanya received her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Goddard College in Vermont in spring of 2020. Prior to that, she became certified as a yoga instructor in 2010 and began a massage and bodywork practice in 2003. A lifelong learner, Tanya is certified in Grief Ritual Leadership, Clinical Trauma work, Vibrational Therapy, Functional Range Conditioning, and has made multiple recordings of music for healing work.

During graduate school and beyond, Tanya chose to specialize in grief and bereavement, working with people in a hospice who had lost their loved ones. Subsequently she trained with Francis Weller in his grief ritual leadership training, learning how to hold space and steward people in the acknowledgment and emptying out of grief.

Tanya specializes in grief and loss, life transitions and somatic work, and navigating issues centering around human existence, meaning, and purpose.

Author of “Harmonic Integration – Joyfully Participating in the Creation of Your Health,” Tanya seeks to help others develop tangible tools to thrive through and beyond mental, emotional and physical distress. Through this approach, clients draw upon their strengths and assets while addressing troubling issues using physical, emotional, cognitive, and relational tools to gain peace and clarity.

“Together we will guide you to a place of feeling more empowered and capable to manage what comes your way.”

Tanya greets her clients as they are, allying with them to help them achieve their personal goals and be held in a space of warmth and compassion.

Tanya is a licensed associate counselor (LAC) at Fully Human Counseling & Consulting. She receives clinical supervision from Chris Bradshaw, PhD, LPC.
