Clinical Consultation

Good work — whether it’s therapy, personality consultation, or clinical mentorship — asks for real time, real presence, and real preparation. The rates below reflect that, and reflect sixteen years of mental health treatment field experience, a doctorate grounded in the study of therapeutic presence, and a background that includes actually leading clinical organizations, not just consulting on them from the outside.

If cost is a barrier to work that would genuinely serve you, your team, or your organization, reach out. I hold space for a limited number of reduced-fee engagements each year.

Individual Therapy with Tanya

55 minutes · Arizona residents · in person or telehealth

Extended sessions are priced proportionally.

Tanya Witman, MA, LAC, is a Licensed Associate Counselor in Arizona practicing under the direct clinical supervision of Chris Bradshaw, PhD, LPC. She offers both in-person care in Tucson, AZ, and secure telehealth services to Arizona residents.

$120 / session

Insurance Coverage

To accommodate clients who wish to utilize their healthcare benefits, insurance billing is accepted for specific carriers and states.

Chris’s in-network availability

Arizona
Aetna (including Meritain) and Optum (including Oscar and Oxford).

Ohio
Aetna and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS).

Please reach out directly to verify your specific plan eligibility before scheduling. Tanya’s services are private pay only and cannot be billed to insurance at this time.

Out-of-Network (OON) & Superbills

If you reside in Georgia, Louisiana, or Minnesota, or if you hold a different insurance carrier in AZ/OH, you may request a monthly Superbill to submit to your provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. This service is available for Chris’s clients. As Tanya is currently licensed at the associate level, this is not possible for her caseload.

Accessibility & Community Care

We strongly believe that depth therapy and somatically informed counseling should remain accessible. To balance community care with the economic sustainability of the practice, we utilize a structured sliding-scale system. It’s important to remember that a lot of the work therapists do is not billable — preparing for sessions, research, documentation, administrative and other tasks.

Current availability

Chris’s caseload
Chris maintains a dedicated three-tiered sliding-scale framework comprising at least 20% of his total caseload. At this time, his sliding-scale and pro-bono slots are fully committed. This section will be updated as slots open up.

Tanya’s caseload
Tanya may have minimal, select openings for sliding-scale clients. Please reach out to inquire about her current availability.

Our approach to sliding scale

These slots are reserved for individuals experiencing true socioeconomic or financial hardship. For clients in these slots, we engage in a collaborative check-in once every six months to evaluate financial alignment and ensure these limited resources remain available for those in acute need. This is a compassionate and transparent conversation, and does not involve any pressure. Clients utilizing a sliding scale receive the identical clinical rigor, care, and presence-centered depth as clients paying the full fee for services.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” outlining the projected costs of your mental health care.

Healthcare providers are legally required to provide patients who do not have insurance, or who choose not to use their insurance, a written estimate of expected costs at least one business day prior to treatment.

You can request a Good Faith Estimate from any provider before scheduling a service. If you receive a final bill that is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to formally dispute the charges.

For comprehensive information regarding your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.

Training

Experiential Workshops

Workshops on the practical application of therapeutic presence in clinical work — including cultural considerations in presence and other elements of relational therapy, experiential exercises that build clinician capacity in the common factors, and group type-indicator work for clinical teams. The common factors include the therapeutic relationship, empathy, the capacity for collaboration, setting expectations, instilling meaning and hope, and repairing ruptures.

These sessions are built to be lived in, not sat through. Expect less lecture, more practice — the kind of experiential learning that actually changes how you show up with clients, not just what you know

Therapist Mentorship

An elder clinician offering presence, time, experience, and support in all areas of practice — including how your personality intersects with your clinical work. This is not clinical supervision, and it isn’t meant to replace it. Although I am a board-approved clinical supervisor in Arizona, I am not taking on new clinical supervisees at this time.

Mentorship is the kind of nurturing, unhurried guidance that many of us wish we’d had more of earlier in our careers. For those not familiar, this is more akin to clinical consultation for newer clinicians.

We’ll talk about the case that’s staying with you after hours, the parts of the work that feel harder than anyone told you they’d be, and the quieter question of who you’re becoming as a clinician — not just what techniques you’re using.
